ABOUT US
Cutting-edge tech, combined with our relentless drive for excellence.
OUR PURPOSE
A passion for innovation and adoption of smart technology drives the desire to reinvent, rethink, and challenge the conventional way of working.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to provide innovative solutions for interesting projects with great clients.
OUR MISSION
We utilise innovative technologies to enable
safer, more efficient, and effective data captures for your project.
SkyVantage Aerial Surveys was born from a simple yet powerful idea: applying cutting-edge drone technology to solve complex, high-risk problems in the field.
Our journey began by utilising drones for safer, faster inspections during contamination land remediation works. Whether we were providing essential progress images for remote clients or carrying out safer inspections of remediation excavations up to 12 meters deep, drones were the obvious choice for minimising risk to personnel and acquiring unprecedented data scale.
The true scope of drone value became clear during a critical infrastructure project in Adelaide. The works involved significant earthworks delivered adjacent to some of the city’s oldest, most sensitive buildings. We didn't just provide a survey—we delivered a comprehensive solution. By generating high-resolution 3D "fly through" models for pre- and post-project dilapidation surveys, while simultaneously assessing cut-to-fill requirements and comparing final finished levels, the results proved invaluable and transformative for the client and the project’s success.
From that moment on, it became our driving passion:
-
To solve projects that were previously deemed impossible.
-
To demonstrate the clear safety, efficiency, and technical advantages of aerial surveys.
-
To innovate and redefine industries in ways that were previously unimaginable.
That passion is SkyVantage Aerial Surveys.

Meet the Fleet
There is no one-size-fits-all. Our top-spec drone fleet can tackle the most intricate of jobs with precision.

M4E -"Monty"
With a laser range finder, three cameras, and real-time position correction for survey-grade accuracy, the Matrice 4E is best suited to the Civil and Construction industry. It provides detailed cut-to-fill, final finished levels, stockpile volume assessments, and point cloud data for 3D reconstruction for designers.

M3M -"Maverick"
Utilising multi-spectral sensors to capture data that is not visible to the human eye, Maverick can provide information relating to soil moisture content and vegetation health, as well as localised sources of heat. Maverick is perfectly equipped for plant disease monitoring and electrical infrastructure inspections.

M400 -"Maximous"
Maximous, the flagship member of our entire fleet, is a flexible work-horse, capable of carrying various payloads and sensors. When equipped with a Lidar range finder, he can provide survey-grade surface and measurement data.
Qualifications
REOC (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator's Certificate) certified by Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA)
Category 1 Infrared Thermography Qualification certified by the Australian Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT)
All pilots are fully licensed
$20 million public liability insured, and $5 million Professional Indemnity cover

DIRECTOR
Alex Savaglia
Alex, with a decade of experience in mining, construction, and land assessment, began using drones during COVID-19 to provide interstate clients with crucial progress updates. This innovative solution enabled critical projects to proceed despite travel restrictions, fostering client confidence and leading to further work. Witnessing the value drones offered, Alex is driven to provide innovative and insightful drone-based solutions to clients.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
John Edwards
John possesses extensive experience in the agricultural and mining sectors. His expertise lies in capturing, presenting, and delivering geospatial information across diverse platforms to a wide array of stakeholders. These roles were instrumental in developing his 3D modelling skills, enabling him to integrate datasets from various designers and sources into a unified, user-friendly platform. This, in turn, empowers clients to make accelerated decisions.

SENIOR REMOTE PILOT
Phil Wilson
Phil has extensive experience managing projects, especially relating to Contaminated Land Management and Road Infrastructure. He has been at the forefront in the use of drones to capture pivotal data across these industries and is passionate about using data captured by RPAs to improve decision making and workflows.
